Museums in Orvieto

Museo Claudio Faina e Civico can be found opposite the cathedral. Many of its pieces were found in the Etruscan necropolis outside the city: Gorgons, coins with images of Roman emperors and bronze dating back to the 2nd and 3rd century. Tours are in Englisha and Italian.
The Museo dell’Opera del Duomo on Piazza Duomo has a  collection consisting of all the important historical objects from the cathedral: Etruscan artefacts and pieces by Simone Martini, Andrea Pisano, Nino Pisano and Giovanni Pisano.
The Museo Archeologico Nazionale housed in the Palazzo Papale on Piazza del Duomo  displays more Etruscan artefacts. The Museo di Emilio Greco also on the same square has pieces from Greco´s personal collection. There is a ticket combining entrance to this museum and Pozzo di San Patrizio.
